Academy
MFF is implementing an interdisciplinary “knowledge center”, an Academy, with a wide range of activities as part of a coherent year-long program.
Because MFF always defined itself as a multidisciplinary platform aimed at developing creativity and innovation in different areas, foster collaboration across these diverse areas* produce knowledge in various formats and increase international networking and partnerships with actors not only from other African countries but also form other continents, the MFF Academy is framed accordingly to these defining characteristics.As one of the 3 pillars of MFF (Festival, Academy & Publications), it is divided in 2 interconnected branches: Researches & Residencies.

Academy: choice and definition of axes, concepts, areas of intervention, identification of synergies and potential partners
Residencies: 2nd month of residency for New Kids, vol. 2
Publication: Weekly Radar in two languages (Portuguese and English), construction of the online platform
Publications: Launch of the online platform, Radar goes into 3 languages, with the addition of French, and becomes bimonthly
Academie: Academy working residency with the coordination team, finalisation of concepts, definitions and networking with partners, definition of a coherent programme of residencies, research and training.
Residencies: show season for New Kids vol. 2
Publications: editing of issue zero of R.U.I. Paper magazine
Radar Academy: work by the coordination team on drafting the 2 calls for residencies and research, definition of the festival programme
